Book three takes place years later as our characters make plans to launch an attack at the heart of enemy territory; the magnificent city of domes.  Using their powers, they cloak themselves in an unusual disguise and slip into the domain of the evil Shallum overlords. Once inside, they soon realize that most of their abilities are rendered useless.  They discover old friends imprisoned there, and during a daring rescue attempt, stumble upon a colony of unusual creatures living in the subterranean ruins.  As the story draws to a close, our heroes celebrate their victories only to discover their world is coming to an end.  Will they find hope in the midst of catastrophe?  All is not lost as Beem encounters a man who invites him into a reality more substancial and enduring than anything he could have ever imagined.
